THE APPRENTICESHIP ROLE
Industrial draughtsmen/designers create technical drawings for the manufacturing of individual metal parts, tools and various mechanical installations, equipment, instruments, and machines.
Acting as intermediaries between the designers from the technical department (engineers, technicians) and the managers in the production workshops, industrial draughtsmen/designers are involved in drafting any documentation containing drawings or diagrams that may be required for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of machines and systems produced by the business for which they work.
It is possible to take courses leading to a federal vocational baccalaureate in a technical subject.
The first 2 years are
spent entirely in a school environment.
